@Toracube :-)

Someone said I played like him, so I'm here to check him out.

@neurotaxis The thing is that Scofield played a conclusion phrase theme to state that his soloing is through and that they are going to the transition to the slow section. Now, in this transition initially both Swallow and Scofield chose to rhythmically accentuate the actual count to three and Stewart made things interesting by accentuating a superimposed count of two to this three - but then Scofield immediately picked this challenging polyrhythmic idea up and executed it perfectly throughout.

a trio is so special....its the essence of any formation...sco, bill ans steve are outstanding...what an interplay...
There is a sublime moment near the end of this footage when these musicians ascend a series of notes before a transition into another part of the song and I think they all displace a series of beats -- together -- something bordering on telepathy. This happens in the moment -- I doubt it's arranged or planned -- look at Bill Stewart smile in the direction of Scofield after the moment has passed. This is the joy of fortuitous and like-minded improvisation.
