No not really, you can just increase your alignment by either performing vortexes (Special combinations) Buying Magic from temples, completing events, or fighting in various regions of Mardias.

There are 10 know Deities of Mardias (Each character starts off the game with specific Alignments):
Elore, Nisa, Mirsa, Amut, Eres, Yucomb, Cyril, Saruin, Death, Schirach

The player got the Death Benediction (High ranking with Death; Eldest Dark God) Each action in the game causes to increase favor with a specific Deity of Mardias.
