A 33-year-old man died Friday morning after he was hurt at a construction site in the Reserve at Prairie Highlands subdivision.
Emergency crews responded to a call for help at about 7:45 a.m. after the man was crushed between two forklifts in the 14700 block of St. Andrews Street, police said.
Witnesses said the man was trying to jumpstart one forklift with the other when he was hit.
He was working at a home under construction near the Prairie Highlands Golf Course.
The man was rushed to a hospital but died a short time later. He was identified as John Crowley.
No one else was injured.
Construction workers said it's not uncommon for crews to have trouble with forklifts, because they are used sporadically and sometimes sit on job sites for days without being started.
