Glad to see so many folks -- gay and straight -- stepping up and participating in The Trevor Project's It Gets Better series designed to encourage gay teens who are bullied to stay strong under difficult circumstances.

In his, Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine discusses the harassment that goes on in high schools and how life improves after the experience: "I hated high school, but if you can get through it, there's a whole world that exists beyond people treating you badly."

  • This made me adore Adam Levine more!

  • I don't mind the use of profanity here as I agree with Adam, High school is bullshit and I hated it. I never get the idea why parents have to force their kid to that place if they know they are getting bullied? There are better ways to get an education and to see the world. Knowledge comes from experience and trust me for what knowledge I gain my whole life, it doesn't come from my high school experience! Hang in there, guys.

  • Adam, Thank you for your inspiration and your time and effort. The straight people who share their thoughts help just as much (if not more) than the LGBT community. Again thank you for doing this and spreading this message of hope !!!

  • Adam ♥ He is the best.

  • There are close to 7 billion people in the world. Why let one or two ruin your day?

  • @makeup4life342 no, he has a gay brother

  • Umm... 28 people don't believe in living a better life?

  • @CaribSkies He was referencing religion and views on morality.

He was not talking about sexuality at all.

  • So....he is gay?
