http://www.charlottenchomeinspector.com Charlotte home inspector Preston Sandlin recently found active powder post beetles in a home in a Chatilly House. This particular house had many problems including active termites with lots of damage. The main thing that Preston want to show you in this video though is active powder post beetles. Judging by the age of the house these are annibid powder post beetles. You can tell it is active by the fresh cut fraz and fresh yellow wood. If it was old there wouldn't be fraz and and the small mash holes would be grey in color not yellow. • how do you know they're active?? their damage is still there and so is their waste (which falls when you hit it) but how do you know for sure if the beetles are still doing damage?

  • Once again you have put out a video that is educational, learn something new everytime I stop by. Thanks!

  • Great video showing the powder post beetle holes. Most people don't know about them. If you need a home inspection definitely call Home Inspection Carolina.
