  • @TRACKS183384 You were at the dam? I was with Scco then when we changed to DSU in 05 before the reservist/aav took over then the navy

  • You know what's crazy? The Marines ran the waterways for like three years in Iraq from active then to reserves. Then the navy took over the job. Then i finally seen something about the boats in a (im sorry) Soilder of Fortune magazine. What the hell? Just joking around. I hope you dudes kick some ass around 825ish. And mayby we coulda got in a cool guy mag if a recruiter wasn't our squad leader.

  • I miss the North Shore, DSU2 06

  • @stalean

I hope your sailor is safe now. godspeed.

  • I jus did yesterday

  • WOOO i hope i get these orders after A school. WOO YAA Gunners Mates!!!

  • Maggies Farm-RATM

  • xodius rules

  • I hate to break the news to you bud, but once you get in basic you are locked into your job for at least 2 years (it doesn't matter what your recruiter told you), your only other option is to drop out of A-school and go undesignated to a ship where you will discover the joys of painting and chipping. From what I understand you have to have a rate that's applicable to the riverines (ie boatswains mate Gunners mate), even then its a niche job and you'd be damn lucky to get selected.

    MNSR Smith.
