10^-3.5 is the halfway point between the largest and smallest things.

If you take the average (the geometric mean) of those two scales, you get a scale that is equal to the size of a neuron.

Consciousness exists as an interrelation between neurons. When I drew that square at the end of the video with "consciousness" written in it, that meant to say that if you were to relate two neurons over space, you would get an area, and not just a length. That area is the size of the awareness in between any two neurons. Consciousness is a "higher dimensional" state, over the pure biological and chemical reactions. But it's higher dimensional in the sense of going from a point to a line, or a line to a square, or a square to a cube. It's not magic— it's math :D

Did that help anything? I know it was kind of a weird concept to bring up, and it was entirely made of concepts that might not be normal.

  • Thinking is to the brain as digestion is to the intestines--that is, a product of the organ, not the organ itself. The same logic can be applied to neurons. Consciousness is an instantiation of neurons, not neurons themselves.

  • @Forehead2Brick thus the final installation of consciousness as an interrelation between two neuronal lengths! (an area)

  • I love the soft high tone of a woman's voice. There's something calming about it. Like it's the other part of the equation somehow.

  • Genius explanation of geometric mean, this is how any math teacher should explain it.

  • I'm sorry but I don't think I understood anything in this video.

  • sounds as if your trying to figure out vastness of universe could that lead to discovery of a God or a intelligent planning of how the universe became either way this was too far over my realm of understanding i'm embarassed to admit

  • no fun here

  • Was he trying to make a religious point? It seems like it.
