"My motivation for this short film had come from the feeling I have when I create something new, or fresh and original, i felt i could show the world some stylish editing with some great visuals Manipulated (short film) helped me become someone and find my self, it showed me that i can do anything i put my mind to, which ironically is what this short film is about, the mind, i have a family member that has schizophrenia and i felt i could bring this issue to a reality.

I am 22, from basingstoke uk, i made this film because this is a issue that needs to be noticed, i have a family member that has schizophrenia, and i felt that as i am a film maker, the concept could be used to make something visually pleasing but with an edge of reality. i feel i am attracting to idea of powers of the mind and so this subject was my first , and certainly not the last.

The music is original, my friends scored this peice himself, i named it manipulated because, the mind is manipulated by schizophrenia and thought it would be a perfect title

I have schizophrenia and I thought this was pretty good. I don't think the person standing in front of him was meant to represent another personality but rather a hallucination. Whether in the head or out of it. The person torturing him. It was more of a symbol, then an actual person. My voices constantly say "kill yourself, kill yourself, nobody wants you". And it seems real enough to be another person. I liked it.

I have schizophrenia, and so does my best friend Garrett... And I am confused. You depict a man who, throughout the video, has a gun to him head and then kills himself =/ I am aware that 10% of schitzophrenic people do commit suicide due to overwhelming suffering, but couldn't you make a more productive film, such as one about how a schitzophrenic person can SURVIVE in society. This kind of ruins my mood a little ._. As though the only cure would be suicide, though I do know better than that.
