Aphrodite, Athletic Trainer, Saint Francis Memorial Hospital, demonstrates posterior tibial tendon taping to help with painful injuries. The posterior tibial tendon is involved in shin splint syndrome, posterior tibial tendinitis, posterior tibial dysfunction, os tibial externum syndrome, and arch pain. The posterior tibial is the most important tendon in resisting pronation. This video is being produced for Dr Rich Blake's blog entitled drblakeshealingsole.com
Kinesio tape re-educates the neuromuscular system, reduces pain, enhances performance, prevents injury, and promotes improved circulation and healing. To enhance its effects, it is advised that the taping be applied during therapeutic exercises; the tape alone will not strengthen the posterior tibialis muscle.

What type of results does this have for long term increase in function of the post tibialis? Seems like everyday taping would be a "band-aid" unless it can increase activation and decrease overall length of the tendon. Thanks for the video
