Neocube - Sphere of Spheres - B80 Fullerene Molecule

This hollow sphere of spheres is made from neodymium ball magnets formed into 80 mini spheres of 60 magnet balls each, which are half nickel and half golden to create a variegated colour effect.

uses a total of 80 x 60 = 4800 neomagnet balls (5mm)

Zen magnets maestro Magnenaut has already created a solid version of this shape as a supercluster of 135 mini spheres that can be found here:

My hollow version is in effect a large model of the theoretical B80 fullerene molecule or boron buckyball. This is similar to the better known C60 buckminsterfullerene carbon molecule structure except that the hexagonally arranged spheres have an extra sphere in the centre giving a total of 80 'atoms' instead of 60.

@theNEOBREED It is quite expensive, this multi sphere shape alone has about $600 worth of magnets in it, more or less depending on what brand or deal you get.

@alisaele1 Not for me, because of how long it takes me to create the shapes and how hard it is to untangle a crushed mix of multi-coloured magnets back into separate colours.
