It's too bad that Dr. Carver had to pass away right after he & Al made up, but I am glad that had the chance to make up.

I just read that Cliff Robertson died yesterday. Very sad day today all around for many reasons. He reminded me of my step-dad and he died like Carver did in the movie, all alone and just went to sleep. I hope that Cliff went peacefully and not in pain. Thank you to a very kind man for many great movies.

@jon76398 She didn't, because of the fact that they romanticized her life and the fact that she did it blind. She was just an everyday person who did what she wanted to do, I guess.

I find it really sad that Carver died alone by that tree :( but then again it was peaceful instead of everyone screaming "call a doctor" in the middle of no where...Still though its sad.

@CousinLolo Agreed. I didn't want to see him go. I really wanted him to make to Atlantic City "where all your dreams come true." Just when Al and his father had reunited...it was sad to see him slip away... : (
