  • @Roy5595 And I guess those dozen other sources were all liars or deceived. Nobody even disputed Jesus' existence back then, isnt that a little telling?

  • @Roy5595 Consider the alternative: the apostles invented Jesus... to control people? And then were subsequently all killed for something they knew to be a lie? How does that many any sense at all? Usually when you control people you have something to gain from it. I guess their gain was a life-time of beatings, torture, and ridicule. I think I'll trust contemporary historians, who btw are almost in universal agreement that Jesus existed.

  • @UncleMatt69 Thats just the way it is in ancient cultures. This whole written history thing is a very racist ideal. Illiteracy was very wide-spread back then and most history and culture was passed down orally. Jesus wasnt exactly prominent in the heart of the Roman empire so it shouldnt be surprising really. Only a few writings from Roman historians have actually been preserved tot he modern age. Other things in history aren't exactly substantiated by mountains of contemp evidence either.

  • @Roy5595 All after the fact, no contemporry evidence. What about that don't you comprehend ?

  • @ancienthibernian You're my hero

  • @Subways69able Yeah, because all those martyrs who died for their faith rather than recant were definitely weak and feeble.

  • @ikwhereyoulive00 That was the point, exactly. Now, if CHRISTIANS worshipped a golden calf these days, he might be on to something, but as it is, he fails miserably. But that doesn't help his argument, so he chooses to ignore his own logical fallacy.

  • @teched246 No, the number 12, and also calling them followers, is false.

  • @teched246 No connection proven -- since bread and wine were common food staples in Egypt and in Palestine. Soooo...?

  • @teched246 Again, resurrection and rebirth are completely different. You are trying to connect 2 different things, but are failing to do so.
