This just goes to prove what I've always said about La Price. When has there EVER been another singer with such a gorgeous, smoky timbre, amazing line, and perfect technique? Price in her prime is as good as it gets. Period.

This woman is the goddess of all sopranos for me. LOVE her, but want to see the rest of this aria!

oh my god... such a tease!! where is the rest of it?!!!! :-O

@neronnenn: Gencer had a unique pianissimo--almost disembodied. (Caballe's was similar.) But Price DID have a beautiful pianissimo, and many "demi-teintes," soft tints in her vocal palette, which was richer than any other soprano's that I've ever heard. BTW, please tell me the other nine sopranos on your list!!!! (My 10 would be, in addition to LP, Ponselle, Muzio, Sayao, Flagstad, Nilsson, Sutherland, de Los Angeles, Tebaldi and Callas. Am I missing anyone on your list? :-)

that was beautiful

Please post the rest of this?

Price is peerless. The diva has no rival and no equal. Simply the best.
Beautiful. Where is the rest?

Yes, would someone in Munich -- or perhaps German TV--please get on the case and find a tape of this entire concert and post it! PLEEZE? (There is an audio tape of this performance--I believe it is the one from Jan 27, 1968, that is phe-no-menal, including a gorgeous "Zweite brautnacht.")
