What pakistan needs is foreign investment, i know many many many pakistanis in england who are wealthy and spend there money in pakistan on big houses (kotis etc). What they need to do is directly invest in business projects, and the local areas. In reality most rich squander their wealth in pakistan.Microfinance loans should be given to the poor, this is an efficient way of helping the lower class people earn a livelihood.When the foundations are of a country are stable it can then progress

@networksport1111 I am adamant that change can only come via democratic political change. Having done a critical anaylsis of many of the parties currently in Pakistan i am highly in favour of PTI. 1) Stop the war in nwfp 2) judicial/electoral/constitutio­nal reforms 3) more localised govt/administrative reform (police)/accountability/tax reforms 4) solution to energy crisis, by utilising colossal coal reserves in thar sindh alongside other untapped resources/irrigation invmnt/peace with india

@huzar237 thats due to the over-bureaucratic system in Pakistan. Whats an even bigger problem than corruption itself, is servicing pakistans HUGE debt, ie- the interest payments. For the year 2011 alone, the Pakistani govt will spend nearly 900 billion pkr to service JUST interest on its sovereign debt, which comes out of the budget. Pakistan is a country that cannot sustain itself with bootlicking, and foreign aid. The only politician saying this today is Mr Imran Khan

@networksport1111 that wont do any good man, did u know that pakistan is given 100 million dollars every month by allied countries and it turns out not even 10% of that money is used on making the economy better but instead its going into the Pakistani governments pockets...an investment will only land more money in their pockets rather then for the poor....
