I figured it out. Cannot do it without a frame around the glass. 2 moves under the glass that is pretty slick to get the coin underneath in position. But he cannot show his right hand empty afterwards. Good method! Havent seen this one... Should have sold this on on DVD.

you can see how its done because the glass is not attached to the wooden frame and then you can slide your hand under and grab the coin

He just takes the coin from under the frame on 0:29. Notice his left fingers going back and foward. Its so subtle! Very good trick master!

0:29 he grabs a second penny from under the table (almost shielding it with his right hand) then at 0:34 you can clearly see him pick up the first penny between his middle and index fingers.
