Actually, the EVGA SR2 with a couple of hex core Xeons was already out when you did the vid and it would've smashed anything you would've put on the 4-way classified. Throw the NIC away, absolutely no use whatsoever, get a Xonar sound card instead. A couple of AX1200, 1.2TB of SSD deliciousness (yes, it exists! ~$5000), 24GB of mushkin RAM (two 3x4gb kits), 4 GTX580's and say 4 360 rads, 4 pumps and a massive reservoir all that fitted in a caselabs case. Bill for that one is ~$30000 :)

You need a 1500W psu

@stickcreator01 I really think ATI gets the medal this time. 5870 no doubt fastest single-core gpu on the market.

you don't need an NIC >.<

can somebody tell me the name of this song?

@Crazymonkeyskills the graphics cards (original heat sink) takes up 2 slots... 1 takes up 1 and 2, 2 takes up 3 and 4, 5 and 6, and 7

@stickcreator01 PCI E slot for a PCI card is just a waste, those motherboards with 7 PCIE are designed for Fermi and Tesla cards, where you could install 6 cards for CUDA apps and 7th one for display,,

Why the fuck are there 7x PCI-E slots if it's only 4-way SLI!?!?!?!?!

@Crazymonkeyskills Also for the NIC Cards, Sound Cards, that uses PCI-E...

I think the EVGA SR-2 is a better choice for a motherboard. Also get rid of the NIC, that's just stupid.

@desumeme i wonder what NIC is good though... and this is an i7 build not the Xeon build.
