uhhh i got a stick 2010 fit and the freakn floor mat gets up on the clutch pedal so i cant slow release and i have to dump the clutch.
It wont directly kill you but there can be times when dumping the clutch is NOT good.
3 months of driving like that i finally decided to properly install them, sadly, i am not one to take a blade to my car and cut holes....
Hence why i am on youtube lookn for a HOW TO video..

I think you could have preformed the same test with the car off so you could really push the accelerator down.
