In this video review, I look at the Colecovision port of the Atari 2600 classic - Keystone Kapers, by Activision.

  • Great review Jeremy of what is one of my all-time favorite games.

  • @jboypacman Thanks John, its a favorite of mine too and I was surprised to learn it was on the Colecovision. It was only $5 + shipping on ebay :)

  • @atarileaf I used to own this one along with the 2600(which is my favorite version of the two). You should check out H.E.R.O. on the CV as well. It's a nice port of another wonderful Activision classic.

  • @jboypacman Yes that's one I'd love to get. I wonder if Hero is rare and expensive? I'll have to check

  • Great review. I laughed at the Mall Cop bit.

  • Okay, now I'm really jealous of 49ernation1's Colecovision find. I want one! This game actually looks like a lot of fun!

  • Great review, I was really a 2600 fan back in the day. I like the level map at the bottom of the screen, that would have been quite an achievement on 2600 version :-)

  • ARGHHGH - this review makes me mad dude... i've got it... but SEALED and I really want to play it now :D

  • Great review buddy

  • Sweet, Keystone is one of the most re-playable games on the 2600, I did not know there was a Colecovision version, definitely going to have to look out for a copy. I agree the colour tones don't quite look as well as on the 2600. Illustrates how good a job they did on the 2600 back in the day.

  • Wow, now I finally get how this game is supposed to be played, I got the 2600 version but the whole purpose of the game and how to use the elevators eluded me completely (cart only). Never got around to finding me some instructions. Thanks for sharing this as I do intend to check it out soon.

  • Great review. This game really reminds me of The Heist on the C64, though you play the burglar in that game and there aren't any cops.

  • Never had this but played it on a friend's 2600 and was always jealous of it. The momentum of the cop as he jumps is very satisfying. The mini map is a very nice touch and something you didn't see much back then.

    Great review :)

  • This is one of those games I read about back in the day, but never actually tried. Truth is, this is the first time I've ever actually seen it playing. Looks fun... and as always... great review :)
