Using naturally occuring 7th chords from C Major as part of the commonly used 1-6-2-5 Jazz turn around.
Note:
1 = C Major7
2 = D Minor7
5 = G7
6 = A Minor 7

There are also some 9th chords in the latter part of the piece

  • So you just took the first, sixth, second and fifth notes of the scale and used different inversions of the 7th chords based on them?
