@cheatblaster Will have to watch my dvd again but can't recall seeing Patrick MacNee anywhere in the film previously. It was McGoohan I remember as a guard. And Robert Shaw as Gibsons´s Flight Engineer.

I'm with you mate. Guy Gibson called his dog "Nigger" because it was a black labradour. Nigger still is a Spanish word for 'black' as far as I'm aware, unless it has been P.C.ed out of existence. I wonder how much trouble there would have been if Guy Gibson had called his black dog black? Can you call anything black? How about a 'black hole'?
