So no your original comment was not "stock for stock" but stating a KB 5.0 would walk the Camaro in the video (which obviously is NOT a stock LT1). My responses are not referencing LT1s in general but the specific Z28 in this video which YOU stated a KB 5.0 would beat. I state w/ F/I Z28 in video wins.

@thetravdawg Pay attention, the comment you replied too I stated a stock for stock. Its pretty logical the LT1 will lose to a new 5.0... I would put money that my 96 Trans Am with bolt on/exhaust mods would have lost to a bone stock 2011 GT.

If you're talking heavy mods... Damn dude I could take a Chevrolet Vega and drop a built 350in it, tub it out, and smoke the cars in this video and a 2011 GT all day long. When you talk pro drag cars its off the beaten path, from any stock car.

Pay attention to the mods on the Z28 in the video (it makes 385rwhp as is). It's a 396ci with forged internals so yeah it could easily put down 500+ at the wheels with F/I so no this lt1 would not get crushed.

@thetravdawg Doubtful, but you can always dream. A 93-97 Z28 S/C at 9psi is probably is putting down 390-400 to the wheels.  A new 5.0 stock puts down 377 to the wheels. The 2.8 KB around 620 to the wheels, and that's just the S/C we're not talking any other mods. A LT1 with a S/C running the same boost as the new 5.0 with a S/C would get crushed all day long. And that my friend is why I sold my 1996 LT1, and currently buying a 03 Cobra.
