This is a super mare! AHR registered Haflinger mare "Loyal Lisa" is known as Roxy at the barn.She is sired by Northern Lights RAH and her Dam is Lady Luck TOF. Born Feb. 10, 2006.
She has 3 solid, SMOOTH gaits and a pretty "dressage" trot. She is sturdy - big bodied enough for an average sized adult rider. And tall, about 14.1hh. She has a pretty neck and a nice topline - great legs!
She is going well under saddle - walk/trot and has a canter! She gets her correct lead the first time - most of the time. She's only been under saddle about 3 months so of course she needs to build strength and balance but she gives to the bit well and likes to stretch down. She has been started slowly and correctly and will make a fantastic lower level dressage mount for a child or adult amature! She has been ridden outside on trail, alone and with a buddy, and did very well. She is very sensible but also enjoyably forward. You will not have to beg her to move - in fact if you're looking for a lazy horse, she's probably not it. But if you're looking for a forward moving, smart, not spooky, athletic mare - she's your girl! She'd make an excellent youth mount for english, western, games, maybe some jumping. Ties well, good for farrier.
