Why do people filming UFOs never use a tripod and auto-focus?
-
@piggypolice probably not expecting it to happen?

Helicopter. Maybe doing some flight exercises. No extreme velocity changes here, just a normal flight behaviour.

@TheUfoCentre Um. All the time. I work at military airbases. I FLY on helicopters. There are multiple lighting systems on aircraft. #1 An extremely luminous landing light that can be seen, depending on the type/size of aircraft, at up to 12 miles away. #2 Position lights that can be either steady or flash, blue and green, or green and red (again, depending on aircraft type) positioned on either-side/either-wing of the aircraft, and on the tail. #3 Anti-collision lights that flash, usually red.

@TheUfoCentre People who videotape landing airliners should expect that to be a common occurrence in a city that has THREE MAJOR AIRPORTS.

@piggypolice Think about it. How many people with a cheap digital camera have a tripod? and I HIGHLY doubt this is manual focus. Besides, with manual focus, you don't have it going in and out of focus. If you're like "Oh shit, a UFO" you don't think "I'm going to go spend 10 minutes finding a tripod" you think "CAMERA! NOW!"

@joshanator1 when someone puts a green light on them
-
@TheUfoCentre it looks 95% like a plane. It's probably one of the folks who decided it is a no fly zone.

Since when do planes give off a green glow genus?!

@adanaans Moscow is a no fly zone for planes....

@TheUfoCentre False. There is no 'no-fly zone' for Moscow. Otherwise, it would make it rather pointless to have THREE MAJOR AIRPORTS in the Moscow area. THREE MAJOR AIRPORTS. Makes it rather easy to video a landing airliner and label it a "ufo".
