This is one of my favorite videos that I've made. I heard the song just the other day and was just floored by the lyrics, and I knew I had to do something with it. Mysterious Skin is such a powerful, haunting film on its own, so I tried to do it some sort of justice. Despite it's themes, I really loved the movie and was absolutely obsessed with it for awhile, writing fanfiction, making videos, etc. I think it's severely underrated in that so few people have seen it.

Anyway, this video is clearly, mostly about Neil McCormick, focusing on how the things that happened to him and the people he knew molded him into who he is at the end of the movie. There's quite a bit of focus on his relationship with Brian here, and it could be seen as slashy if you want to see it that way, but I personally don't think there's any sort of romance between the two of them.
