Ronnie O'Sullivan Blasts A Foul To Throw Match vs Fergal O'Brien - 2011 PTC2

Sorry for the 2 sec interruption to the feed during the critical moment when the Rocket tries to roll up behind the black but the white doesn't reach and he ends up snookering himself. Disgusted, he blasts the black into the yellow pocket to throw the match, despite being down only 34 points with 35 on the table

I guess he didn't visit his sports psychologist before the match. You can easily tell when Ronnie is focused on the game and when he is not. Half the time in this match he was looking at his fingers and at the tip of his cue, which usually indicates hes spacing out 'somewhere'.... and you almost know that he'll do something rash when he gets to the table

Most of the time, his own worst enemy is himself

I didn't understand what happened. Ronnie pots the red and then shouldn't he be allowed to pot any color? Why black wasn't OK?

he tried to put the white behind the black for a snooker but not enough pace so he ended up snookering himself instead. out of frustration, he just blasted the black in for a foul and ended the match.

@TheRocketExpress Sorry, I think something must happen in the seconds when the image freeze which prevents me from figuring out the situation. What I see in this video, is

- O'Brien misses to pot a red

- Ronnie pots it and then the white ends up behind the black

- It's Ronnie's turn, he has to pot a color

- Screen freeze

- Ronnie pots the black

@giulienk You are aloud to pot any color, but you have to mention for which one you go, and Ronnie said green, so he has to hit the green first.

He simply doesn't want to continue the match. Look at the way he potted the red - not something even a non pro would have done.
