Birding the New Jersey USA shore after a big noreaster, with a hungry osprey, fish crows hoping for a handout, a sleepy punk rock red-breasted merganser, ringed-necks, very ruddy ducks, american wigeon and coot, and the lonely euro wigeon, many many bonapartes gulls in a variety of plumages, an acrobatic brant, and a brief distant cameo by little gull from across the pond (or not).

  • Where in the video is the little gull?

  • at approx. 2:34 you will see a gull fly up with black underwings. I did say it was a brief distant cameo.

  • Perhaps a little wishful thinking with that little gull?

  • Watch the flock of bonapartes carefully.

    Note the black underwing.
