Batuwangala Maha Vidyalaya organized its' 5th English day yesterday. The English Day 2009 was conducted by all the students In BMV.This time Grade one to grade 13 students were involved with the function.Although the the distinguish guests from Hierarchy of education were absent for the function the function was going well with all the blessing of Principal Mrs.Thilsks Wijenayake and All the teachers.there were more than twenty items for the function.songs, demonstrations, poems, dances were eye catching.English is an accessing key to this fast moving world. But the rural children in this part of country do not take care about this matter. That is why, English language teachers find it very difficult to take the children to correct path. English teachers have to motivate and dedicate themselves very much. BMV has implemented lot of programmes to promote using English through the ITCs. BMV runs an evillage project here in Batuwangala to give a chance to the children to learn English. Batuwangala e-village is the first evillage in sri lanka owns a mini hydro power plant to use electricity in their computer lab.BBc, news, Videos, reading sessions after school classes, etc to help them immensely. As you know English and ICT both are equally important. Having talents in both fields, BMV English section teachers guide all the students.
I know the school. I feel bad about what they are doing here. there is a lot other good things one can do in a english day .
