Why am i NOT surprised you are american?

At the start of the video, we see the cars accelerating from zero velocity: Slow.

0:06, we see the cars gaining high speed but viewed from quite a distance: Appears slow.

It's only at 13 seconds, after the jump, where you ever get to appreciate the speed they're going at and even then the camera does it's best to 'slow them down' by panning in that direction.

In conclusion: the reason the cars look slow is because the people of the camera team are doing their jobs well.
