Cobra, deer and crocodile. These are only some of the wildlife coveted for their meat, skin and believed medicinal value. In different parts of Southeast Asia, including the Philippines, wildlife is hunted for consumption and livelihood. In Vietnam, Doc Ferds and the team catch exotic animals being served in restaurants and killed in front of patrons.

But at times, it's not a simple case of cruelty. Where wildlife and humans meet, the needs of the two often collide. In Pampanga, where snakes are considered pests in agriculture, locals hunt and kill the endemic Philippine cobra for fear that the venomous reptile would attack. Several residents have already died from cobra bites. Doc Ferds seeks to understand the cultural and economic factors behind the killing of wildlife and tries to find a balance between human activity and the wild.

Sa iba't ibang bahagi ng Southeast Asia kabilang na ang Pilipinas, ang wildlife ay hina-hunting para sa kabuhayan. Sa Vietnam, matatagpuan ng grupo nina Doc Ferds Recio ang isang lugar kung saan lantarang kinakatay ang mga hayop para ihain sa mga restaurant.

Pero hindi ito simpleng usapin lang. Sa Pampanga, kung saan itinuturing na peste ang mga ahas na cobra dahil sa paninira ng mga ito sa pananim at panunuklaw ng mga residente, hinuhuli at pinapatay ang mga Philippine cobra para gawing kabuhayan na lamang.
