Their name is also spelled Agta. "Masampat a edow de ikaw" -- "Greetings" is the Casiguran Dumagat dialect. "Fo" -- "Greetings" in the Central Cagayan dialect. Their language is being threatened by Talagog, as they are being resettled, selling souvenirs to the general public, and more than likely from schooling. The Philippines has to recognize its rich cultural heritage, by creating situations were the Aeta can use their own language, or a rich Filipino heritage will be lost.

I felt sorry for them..Stupid government..Our philippine government should learn to recognize them..Give them education and shelter..They are our original people..

I know. Common Filipinos put down the Aetas yet when the white man commits discrimination towards Filipinos they feel as if they should be treated equally as others. I don't get it. I'm tagalog myself not Aeta but I want to help these people. They seem to be the only respectable peoples in the Phils.

These are the true original people of the Phil/ Islands. Government need to recognize them and treat them better, they need benefits. Growing up in Manila i had an aboriginal friends, one whom took care of me when I was a little boy. God Bless the Aetas.

Man why do some of the common Filipinos/Filipinas put down the Aetas for?
How can they be racist to some of the original peoples on the islands?
