Hi witnessforfitness, Static Active Stretching can be a part of a stretch workout. Or as a target over other types of flexibiltiy it is best emphasized at the end of your workout. Like other types of stretching this style may also be used as a warmup. Or to build up your cold flexibility. Cold flexibility is defined as what you can safely do without a warm up of any kind. Static Active Stretching can improve your ability to perform a stretched position cold without being warmed up.
