United Nations, New York, 3 June 2009 - Daily Briefing by the Office of the Spokesperson for the Secretary-General. Members states of the United Nations - and particularly those from the Pacific region - have met to discuss climate change and its possible security implications.
The General Assembly plenary meeting touched on issues such as the respective responsibilities of the United Nations and its affiliated bodies for the maintenance of international peace and security, and sustainable development.
Today's discussions are one of a number that will take place between member states in the lead up to the United Nations Climate Conference in Copenhagen in December, 2009.

Don't believe in it? As far as I'm concerned the facts given are real, so are the examples and as far as I'm concerned there is no democracy when it comes to facts... Do you have any examples and explanations?

Why hold those meeting about climate changes in resource holidays countries. Why not hold those same meeting in, for example, in the Bronx or the poverty stricken slums of the world.
WHy is it that the poor ahve to provide guidance, ideas and solutions to the richest in THE world?
