Getting the sailing vessel "Cool Change" ready to sail.
This is a MacGregor 25.

  • How long did this actually take? I have the same boat (since last August) and I've yet to take the mast down.....it's sitting in its parking space up at the lake, under the snow.....

  • If you know what your doing, have everything ready, it only takes 15 minutes or so. In this video we had to adjust the stays a little so it took a bit longer.

  • Are those steps on your mast and if so have you ever climbed up them?

  • If you put a set of double blocs on the forestay and leave everything else connected, it can be done in 5 min. Attach the wind vane, have someone pull the forestay up from the ground using the pulleys, and someone else on board to steady and secure the forestay once it's up.
