@AFKthemovie well Im not taking part in the competition... Im just saying... some of the shorts dont look AMATEUR to me... and I thought that was the whole idea...

Nicely Done.

I think you're the one being unfair here. The true strength of this short imho is that it took a high-clichè setting and made it believable through solid dialogues and acting. That has nothing to do with budget or how many fans you have on YT.
And how should any film competition ever be completely fair? Even if there was a spending limit people would still have different access to equipment, people, favors... I can understand your frustration but don't take it out on other entries.

@HandwrittenFilms Thanks! We just try to make the best we can and hopefully people enjoy them. That's all we want at the end of the day.

@sshhssh1 That may not necessarily be true. Our entry may be under the production name of 'Handwritten Films' but that's just an alias. Our film was made on a budget of about £600 by a group of 9 student filmmakers. I'm not saying that these guys were like that, but for the most part, I think everyone has been 'amateur'. I happen to think this film is very well made, but has too much random killing and no real narrative, but that's only my opinion. I'd like to think it is a fair entry though.

@sshhssh1 Sneaky Zebra are Amateur Film-makers, we're 2 guys who make videos that's the whole crew! the bare bones of equipment, a partner with 9,000 fans means nothing it's not 9,000,000 we have the bare bones of equipment, no shoulder rigs, no lighting equipment, no steadicams and a crew of 2 people, we did this all on the kindness of favours, no budget. we just set out to make something enjoyable and put every ounce of effort we can into it. Hopefully you enjoyed our entry.
well this is really unfair competition... those guys are YouTube partners they got 10.000 fans and obviously they're all are going to like this video and as well they earn money by making videos on YouTube... Which makes all the other look like crap... and as well at the beginning Jessop said it is for Amateur Film-makers and most of the entries have production companies involved that have money and 20 people etc... I don't think this competition is too fair...
