Lego Halo: Ambush

As a red team squad secures a area in New Alexandria, a blue soldier sneaks up for an ambush!

Yeah I know, the colour correcting isn't perfect, however I had to work with what I had and try my best to make the footage look like all the rest (I don't really like this video, but I have more to come).

This short was filmed from the 8th of august till the 5th of september, and post production went from the 5th till the 17th of september!

Q&A:

1) Where did you get the weapons?

1A) The weapons are from an awesome US company called Brickarms, however I bought them from a UK reseller. Find them either here - http://brickarms.com/ , or here if like me live in the UK - http://minifigforlife.com/theprostore/main.php

2) I saw you used Brickarms weapons and I would like some but I don't live in the US. How do you get some?

2A) Well I bought them from a UK reseller however if you live in another country you can still purchase brickarm-guns from Brickarms, it's just that you will have to pay more to ship it to your country leading you to have wait longer for them to arrive (to see all the different resellers go here - http://brickarms.com/resellers.aspx ).

3) Where did you get the Halo/Spartan armour from?

3A) I got the armour from a US company much like Brickarms (that does custom lego guns) called Brickforge.

4) Brickforge is a US company and I don't live in America, how did you/how do I get that armour?

4A) It's still possible to buy stuff from Brickforge, it's just that (much like with the previous Brickarms question) you will have to pay more to ship it to your country thus having to wait longer for it. Unlike Brickarms there isn't any official resellers that I am aware of, could be wrong; if I am tell me and I will update this.

5) What programs do you use for VFX/special effects and editing?

5A) For editing I use Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11, and for special effects I use both [Adobe] After Effects and EffectsLab Pro (which has reccently been discontinued but succssed by FXHome's new program - HitFIlm), but I mainly use After Effects nowadays.

6) Where do you get the Halo sound effects?

6A) The majority were given to me by a good friend (Supremedalekdunn) however I have downloaded some from YouTube.

7) Why don't the Spartans have visors in this video?

7A) It's a long story but basicly when I first got the Brickforge armour it didn't say anywhere that the visors were separate (very fucking sneaky of them in my opinion) so when I bought them they didn't have them. At that time I couldn't wait another 4 weeks and spend more money so I can get the visors so I pained the heads which the helmets are on and personally I like it; yeah the reds need a re-paint but it works... also it makes my Halo films distinguishable from other peoples videos.

8) What program do you use for stop-motion?

8A) MonkeyJam, it's a good free program.
