Lenovo-Designed Olympic Games Torch

Olympic organizers in Beijing unveiled the design of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Torch which was conceived by designers from Lenovo, worldwide Olympic Partner. Called "The Cloud of Promise," the innovative Lenovo design was selected from among 300 entries and celebrates 5,000 years of Chinese civilization fusing traditional Chinese art and contemporary design, blending symbols of Chinese culture, philosophy and art. The award-winning Lenovo design team comprised of more than 30 design specialists from around the world spent more than 10 months developing the design and technical elements using many of the same design processes used to engineer the company's personal computers.
