@CrossFaaaade yes. lot of Fido costumers did that and its working ( and Fido is not offering the ipad ) so sure u can do it with Rogers. and its the same internet so no worries...

Hoping you can answer this, I am planning on cutting my regular Rogers 3G SIM card into a Micro-SIM card so i can use it on my iPad, will this work as I have explained it and seemlessly use the data allowed on my plan like it was a phone?
