Chicago Blues- NYC circa 1996, one Ernie Williams while consuming Greyhound's at the bar with the original Sally B, Kentucky Raker and Pirate Hallett- stated his desire to see the Omnipresent man's lock on Newport blues society undone. . Quite brilliant to have taken it all in back then. The scene was ultimately re-enacted at Christie's where the Clifford brothers eagerly wove the narrative into their weekly jam with the mudstress. I "discovered" Ernie Williams only three years ago at Saratoga Racecourse and have now seen him at least four or five times - I just LOVE the music of this man and his band. Please check out my own channel or search Ernie Williams on YouTube and enjoy my video of an especially sweet performance circa 2006. May I conclude by saying: "I can NOT wait to see Ernie Williams perform again!!!"

I've played with ernie on several occasions and I'm fortunate to be very, very close friends with him. He and BB have used my fathers Cherry Red Epiphone and I had them sign it for me so I can always remember. Ernie is a true musician in that he inspires and creates a passion and feeling in you when he plays. Long live the kings!

Ernie Williams is THE MAN!!! I have seen Ernie and the Wildcats many, many times...and it's always a smokin hot time. Most recently, I saw him perform at the Saratoga Race Track last Saturday! Thanks for helping bring this man's talent to Youtube so more people that are not from the Capital District get to experience this great Blues Legend!!!!
