wilson started his career as a humble walk-on in top gun in the very homophobic volleyball scene...from there he had some drug and alcohol problems but resurrected his career in cast away. way to go wilson!!

If you look at the story.. Wilson was what kept the character sane through the years.. People really need social interaction and the volleyball was the best substitute.

If you didn't see the movie and would watch this seen only you would thing Wilson was a human being. Lot of emotion over a volleyball.

I saw this at the theater, and when this scene played, I broke out in an unrestrainable peal of laughter. Everyone in the nearby seats all looked at me with a sort of "you jerk" look.
