Objects In the Rearview Mirror (May Appear Closer than they are) performed by Meat Loaf, written by the amazing Jim Steinman. At one point he was going to write a Batman musical... a shame it never happened.

This Steinman song is one of my favourites, and I thought it fit in pretty well with Batman and the Robins relationships.

Enjoy.

  • Good video. Steinman can write great songs. (even if they CAN go on for over 10 minutes XD) But I couldn't help but notice this is the exact same melody from Dance of the Vampires (Or Tanz De Vampir) Is Steinman capable of writing more than 8 songs? XD

  • yeah, he's notorious for recycling his own music, a good majority of Tanz Der Vampire was based on music he'd previous written (some used, some not)

  • May I recommend the song "I would do Anything for Love (But I won't do that)." It's probably the best song on their 2nd Album. This song is their 2nd best on their 2nd album.

    MEATLOAF ROCKS!

  • thanks, I agree, it's one of my favourite Meat Loaf/ Jim Steinman songs.

I like the idea of doing the song but I'm not really sure how to do it, I suppose I could do it between Batman and his various flings or even Dick and Babs...

  • Most excellent my friend. I'd like to see more Batman/Meat Loaf vids, as I'm a huge fan of both. I'd say use either "The Monster is Loose", "I'm Still Alive", "Life is a Lemon" or "It Just Won't Quit". Just suggestions. Keep up the great work.

  • I've actually got a more or less finished music vid of "Alive"... I just haven't uploaded it because it reuses a lot of the same scenes as the rest of my vids... so it gets a bit repetitive.

I'll have a look at it and perhaps upload it.

    Thanks for the comment.

  • You did a fantastic job with this video!

Only Jim Steinman can write 10+ minute songs that seem short.... well, to me, anyways.

  • thanks a lot... It wasn't until I'd finished doing it and sat through and watched it myself that I realised how long it was. I'm really glad you a) liked it and b) was able to sit through it :)

  • thanks!

It's hard to say how long it took me exactly as I worked on an off for a few weeks. The longest part is ripping all of the video clips to use.

It's funny how well Meat Loaf's (Jim Steinman's) songs work with Batman...

  • Wow! I never thought I'd actually be able to sit through a 10 minute music video of ANYthing, but damn you pulled this off. It was like a trip down memory lane... rewatching all of those touching batman moments! I loved it! Awesome job on this!
