Alright guys here is the second to last step in modifying my Remington 597 into a little tactical rifle. Like I said in the video I purchased the rails off Amazon for around 11 dollars. They are manufactured by UTG and come with one 6 inch and two 3 inch sections. If you guys have any questions please let me know, thanks for watching

  • do you have to cut out some of the stock to get the picatinny rail to go on?

  • @Lmawp I don't think you would absolutely have to. I did so the rail would mount flush with the stock. It's all personal preference.

  • Are you going to upload the video of the custom paint job?

  • @mightyquinn1102 It's funny you ask that... I just mailed off my Remington stock to be Duracoated 6 days ago. Whenever the stock shows up I'll immediately do an unboxing video and review. Just check back in a couple weeks and hopefully it will be back by then... take care.

  • @mightyquinn1102 Well the video has been uploaded of the Remington 597 stock Duracoated in Multicam. Check it out and let me know what you think.

  • Hey man, quick question, if your left handed shooting this firearm do the cartridges hit you in the face? Also, i love your videos!! Keep up the good work!!

  • @ChrisreadIRL I'm going to be completely honest with you, I've never shot it left handed. I can only guess but I would think you would be ok. Again, you would have to ask someone who has actually shot it left handed to get a definite answer.

  • @HistoryHmoobGuy Well thanks for stopping by and voicing your opinion. Obviously you are one of those educated people that think only a certain rifle is the best and all others are crap. I got this rifle 12 years ago when I was 15 or so. I got it to shoot small game which it did without any malfunctions. I have Ak's and AR's that I load before I go to sleep, my Remington is a hobby gun that stays in the safe. Sorry if my Remington upsets you so much, but thanks for stopping by.

  • @AnnoyingChildStudios Yes I am, along with Scavenger Pro and Stopping Power. You have to run Stopping Power with a small .22 caliber.
