  • @AsylumPlease In France they have the white ponies that live in the marshes they round them up and castrate the males they dont want to breed. That would put a hit on the population right there. Plus the fewer mustangs up for sale the more valuable and the less that go to slaughter. I think it would be the best right now when everyone is selling their animals because they cant afford them.

  • (Canada cont', READ BELOW 1ST)

There is a clinic set up to defend the wild horses that cross the northern border and end up in Canada, but not for the ones born there.

If you wish to save a North American wild horse, you can do it for free, just by calling and putting your name and address on the protection list. When I called I just told them our horses are going extinct and they sent someone over the same day to have me sign the petition.

The number is 911-554-4073, and they were very nice

  • In Canada, wild horses DO qualify for protection, just aslong as they fill out the proper forms. The problem in Canada is, only horses with a proper name can be identified and therefore processed for environmental protection. Wild horses tend not to be named by human because they're wild. The Canadian government knows this but will not change the law to suit unnamed horse, but we can stop it.

Contact your local media and let them know Canada's situation, our problem is no one knows about it here

  • there are just to many horses in the wild. to share the land with people and other users... Its better then killing them

  • Since the mustangs are provided with a limited amount of space, the BLM has to control the population or else the food will all be eaten and they will face starvation. So they round up a good number to ensure that the population does not get too high. But then, they have to figure out what to do with the rounded up horses.

  • people are herding up the mustangs becuase people are taking "their" homeland and biulding houses and shopping centers and businesses. There is not much land for them anymore and that means there is not a lot of food. Since its illegal to shoot them, they have to find some other way of protecting them, and that is capturing them and adopting them out to people around the country. So in a sence, they are being rescued.

  • to understand you need to watch the intro vid

  • That is true, perhaps i just think that if they really wanted to they would find a way, god knows there are enough mustang rescue centers to be able to relocate at least some of them there

  • I see that but the could relocate them.
