San Francisco Mime Troop gives their inimitable take on Bush and Cheney "bringing democracy" to little known Arab emirate "Obscurastan". Featuring SF Mime Troupe legend and leader, Ed Holmes, "Bishop Joey" of St. Stupid's Day Parade fame, in his incrediblly deft and amusing performance as 'Dick Cheney, VP'.

  • remember 1221so. van ness the home they took from me.

  • @Tormawk members of the mime troupe bought my building, evicted the original tennants, and replaced them with mime troupe members, who conspired to have me evicted, they used such bulling tactics that were so extreme that I had to leave for fear for my safty and the safty of my animals.

  • @vivavasquez Hi there, I realize it's 5 months ago you wrote that comment but I felt like replying.

The SFMT don't to "traditional" miming, they mean mime in the ancient sense "to mimick". So them doing parodies and plays on politics today is not anything fake, they have a message with each play and they're doing a nice job portraying it.

Try to look at things from other viewpoints sometimes, it helps understanding what's going on around you.

    Sincerely, Tor

  • San Francisco Mime troupe are fake progressives, if you think going to a mime troupe show is going to fill you in on the latest in politics, your wrong. they will lull you into a stupid trance and then steal your money, if not your home. they took mine.

  • mime is the exaggeration of daily life in story and song...so sez Herodotus.

if you think it means only silent , you'v been duped by an inferior art education and the french. related to commedia... and this (we) is not ' improv'. mimes have a lot to be affronted about, and answer for, but it isn't us!! wise up. sfmt.org

  • Pedrombelo: they don't mean mime and in the Decroux or Marcel sense (although founder RG Davis did study with Decroux), but Ancient Mime, which is closer to commedia dell'arte.

  • this is not mimery!! Calling this improv group a "mime" troupe is an affront to mimes everywhere!!

  • wow, I mimes! I always thought it was illegal to mime it up out in public

  • 2.09 LOL
