With Pedro Martinez warming up on April 25, 2004, the Red Sox and Yankees were introduced by legendary Bob Sheppard to the Imperial March and Throne Room themes. Manny Ramirez blasted a 2-run homerun to help Pedro win the game.
I've seen them wearing their Evil Empire t-shirts, yes. Things have changed since Lucchino made that comment in 2002, though, haven't they? Two teams willing to do what they need to do to create a championship team... Gotta love the AL East!
I thought the YANKEES were supposed to be the Evil Empire. That is, wouldn't it make more sense to play the Imperial March at Fenway while the Yanks are being intros?
As a Red Sox fan, I can't find it in me to boo Jeter. But, sure enough, there was a loud chorus of boos for The Captain... at home! Every at bat. He was in a horrible slump, but that's no excuse.

Good point. Still, it was fun to hear. I think the Yankees must be PROUD of being labeled the Evil Empire...
