Hondurans vote for a new president Sunday at the peak of a political crisis, with the constitutional president besieged in the Brazilian embassy and no leader ruling the country. The de facto leaders behind the June 28 ouster of President Manuel Zelaya, and observers led by the United States, hope the polls will turn a page on months of turbulence in the Central American nation. • These Hondurans look like Spaniards have a look at the video below

  • Long live the Great Socialist China and Russia. We will rescue the people of Honduras from the hands of frickin imperialist puppets. The world will not recognized the US-UK sponsored coup and election. Down with imperialism. The Honduras people liberation is at hand. Revolution is inevitable.

  • Zelaya was ran out for trying to pull what Hugo Chávez did to Venezuela.

He got in office and tried to change the constitution so he could turn Honduras into a communist country.

Hugo Chávez had the backing of the military is why he was able to get away with it.

  • January -February 2009... 4th ballot structure enters, amidst the call by the Supreme Court, Electoral Tribune and National Congress saying that it is illegal. Don you think that tampers the constitution? This is early 2009.

  • In a typical military coup, the army takes over the country an remains in power. This is not the case in Honduras because all government entities are still functioning, so this was never a coup. This was nothing more than giving communist (like many of you) a little taste of your own medicine. How do you like that?!

  • The elections will worsen the situation. They should be done 3 months after Zelaya is reinstated. This was a coup so the constitution was broken, thats why a national assembly should be called to redo the constitution. The countries that support this elections are being part of an ilegal act, and are showing the world what their international policies really are.

  • "the constitutional president"

Who tried to amend the constitution to make him the constitutional president for life. As I understand, the Honduras Supreme Court is of the opinion that the "coup" in fact upheld the constitution.

  • Turnout will most likely be low.
