Get those rude kids out of there
-
i dont want anybody especialy kids near an organ unless they know how to play or they're taking lessons. otherwise if they dont know how to play, they dont need to be near it, most kids will tear something up on organs, this is why we keep our organ at church locked.

The M.P. Moller Co. closed in 1992. Considering they built some 11,000 organ over the almost 120 years of the company virtually every organ tech in the country has experience working on them. this one was probably among the last tubular-pneumatics they made. They went to Pittman action in that year. Check with the Librarian of Hagerstown to find out who might be in possession of the records on this organ (Opus #2807, 1919) BTW you are holding a chime.

Moller did make several "Theater" style organs but the majority of their production was for churches, halls and cathedrals. They made more than 12,000 organs before they went out of business in 1992. Their tonal legacy lives on - Several of their pipe makers and voicers continue to make pipes in the original Moller Pipe shop as TRIVO and EASTERN ORGAN PIPE.
the rude kids are now 3 years older and play our pipe organ..... funny how we grow up:)

That organis amazing. A working Tubular Pneumatic. Needs a good tuning. Oak Case with some speaking case pipes. Lovely. Preserve and restore it. Don't let anyone con you into changing anything. It can be restored, like saving an old book or painting.

the pad works as a damper. it rests on the top when it's not being played. then raises when it is played to allow it to sound(longer). when the note is released the pad drops back down and dampens the chime. very nice organ!
