actually i think you did something wrong with the small and big can, normally, the product will stop itself once it is done however you pulled out the product before it finished

Thumbs up because this guy did it wrong. You need to wait until it's done before pulling it off the can.

I pulled this up because everytime i use my can opener it won't release the lid and keeps running and running. I get it off but I don't seem to understand what it is that makes it release. Funny thing is as I watching the video I cut myself on the can as I scraped out some refried beans out of the can. Just as I did that I saw the reviewer testing to see if the can was sharp enough to cut. Let me tell you it is.

Have you tried removing the batteries after they have run down before finishing the excercise of opening a can. Using a screwdriver, as instructed, doesn't always work. Cannot access the batteries - cannot remove the opener - cannot remove the food.

I agree you didn't let it run it's full cycle. So you may have prematurely interrupted the cycle before it was done.
