This is a perfect story. I think they died, but that last part with them getting old is for us to imagine how would it be if they didn't. Cuz when they kissed, he said something like -always together. And then came that scenes from their childhood. I love this movie.

they actually buried themselves in cement. If you all just paid attention to the film's intro. The clips of them getting old are just "representations" (i can't think of a better word. lol) of the viewer's possible questions, "what if they didn't die? what silly things could they have still done?" etc.

This movie makes me cry every time i watch it. This is the best!
