The term purified is misleading. Obviously he is not talking about doing anything but killing microbes, it does not remove any contaminants, and should be clearly marked that way. If however you are starting from basically clean water and you want to make sure there is no biologic life in that water that might harm you the UV systems work fine.
"Sounds" good, but I need to see you demonstrate fill up the container with dirty water and then drink it after "purifier". And I need you to show me the testing data before and after.

What kind of water can it purify? Can I dump sewage into it? Water from a tailing pond? Downstream of a third world nuclear plant?
