@horliazar The majority of BM's are 320d. You'ld need something like the 335d to keep up. Even then it would still be a surprise that the boring (what you thought was a) 2.0 TDi Passat was pulling away so quickly.

The money you'd save running the Audi for a year would pay for a remap to make it faster than the R36. Diesels or turbo'd petrols are where it's at in the UK...you'd have to be insane to buy a 3.6L petrol for a mere 300bhp.
